Please read the excerpt from David Ford’s intro to Christian theology first (“Chapter 8: Through the Past to the Present: Texts and History,” which was distributed in class on Jan. 21), and then read all the biblical passages, with what Ford says in mind. Please bring a printout of the passages, or a device on which you can read an electronic version of them, to class.
